Olympic Peninsula Outdoor Recreation Collaborative Partnership
The Olympic Peninsula Outdoor Recreation Collaborative is a group of outdoor recreation land managers, interest groups and community members interested in a collaborative approach to outdoor recreation management on the Olympic Peninsula (OP).
Currently we have two priority projects:
Supporting the Klahanie Campground site project to determine its future and help make it happen.
Better understanding of outdoor recreation use on the OP. To this end we are exploring/answering two key questions for the OP:
What is the state of camping on the OP and what is the expected future demand?
Where and what are the Recreation Use Hotspots on the OP?
Northwest Portal is partnering with the Olympic Peninsula Outdoor Recreation Collaborative. The initial focus is camping. Let us know if there are campgrounds that we are missing or if you have input on campgrounds that are on the map.
We are currently working to map all of the privately managed camping opportunities and will add those to this map shortly.
